We are excited to feature our last washed Ethiopian coffee of the year! This lot comes from the Shakiso Tero Outgrower community in South West Ethiopia. This community has gained recognition over the last decade as one of the best producers of coffee in the world. Smallholders in this community must participate in a comprehensive registration and training, detailed mapping of each farm and training in agronomy and processing. Through this program, farmers benefit from higher prices paid for higher quality cherries, pre-harvest financing, and distribution of seedlings and coffee bags for transport. World class farming, production and processing methods combined with this area's high elevation and soil content result in coffees coming from this region to be complex, bright, and highly sought after. This year's lot has been one of the best coffees we have ever had from Ethiopia and is a current Bindle staff favorite! Expect notes of earl gray tea, layered in with chocolate chip sweetness and key lime acidity.
