The Red Five de Diciembre network (a network formed on 12/5/14) is the largest organization of coffee producers in the La Canada region of Oxaca. This network is made up of 13 first-level organizations representing 1,300+ indigenous producers. After six years of selective harvesting and processing, as well as obtaining organic certification, 2020 marks the first year harvests are available for American export. Meaning higher wages for producers and exciting growth opportunities to come! The hard work and patience show as this is one of the most interesting coffees from Mexico we have had in a while. Expect the satisfying and sweet mouthfeel of cherry cordial, coupled with chocolate-covered pomegranate acidity, and a nutty finish. We couldn't be happier to showcase the hard work from the Red Five network, and we hope you enjoy!
